Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork. Shaquil Barrett Jersey .com) - Josh Bailey scored the winner in the shootout as the New York Islanders grabbed a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday. In the fifth round, Bailey was able to sneak a low shot between the pads of Keith Kinkaid, and Jacob Josefson missed the net on New Jerseys last chance. Theyre fun and you have to go out there and enjoy it, said Bailey about shootouts. You cant be nervous when you go out there so you just have to embrace the moment and enjoy it. Bailey and Matt Martin each had a goal, while Jaroslav Halak stopped 26 shots for the Islanders, who have won their past two games. Marek Zidlicky and Scott Gomez each had a goal and an assist for the Devils, who have dropped their past four games. Kinkaid stopped 31 shots in the loss. Well we got one point so start there and go home, said Gomez. Its no reason to get frustrated because we played well enough. Give them credit, they came back and its a good club over there. The Devils drew first blood on the power play at 12:15 of the first after Gomez sent a pass from the right point to the high slot where Zidlicky one- timed a blast into the net. Just over three minutes later, New Jersey took a 2-0 lead as Gomez whipped the puck out front from the right boards and it hit off the skate of Lubomir Visnovsky and went into the net. The only goal of the second period went to New York when Ryan Strome sent a backhand pass from behind the left of the net to the slot where Bailey was able to wrist it into the left corner of the net at 1:51. New York tied the game just past the midway point of the third as Casey Cizikas sent a saucer pass down the right wing for Martin, who skated to the circle and beat Kinkaid with a heavy wrister. Game Notes New Jersey forward Jaromir Jagr had two assists and moved past Steve Yzerman for sole possession of seventh all time with 1,065 helpers. Adam Oates is sixth with 1,079 ... The 29-year-old middleweight from New York City broke his toe in the first round against Brazils Thiago Santos on Saturday night. And things got more gruesome after that. The crowd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center first noticed the injury when the cameras zoomed in on the disfigured toe after the first round. There was an audible groan around the arena when it was shown on the big screens. Hall came out for the second round, with the top of the toe next to his big toe sticking up almost vertically. "I remember throwing a front kick and he blocked it but I didnt realize I had broken my toe," Hall said later. "I was putting it in my head that it wasnt broken but I kept looking down and seeing it. I tried to pop it back in after the round ended before the (Nevada State Athletic) Commission inspectors came over and saw it but they were too quick for me. "In the moment you just feel numb and luckily that pushes you on in the fight. But in between rounds it creeps into your mind that you should stop so Im very thankful for my coaches who kept my head in the game and supported me the whole way through. . . . In that third round I just thought to myself this is my time to prove to everyone that I have what it takes.. Custom Denver Broncos Jerseys. I left it all out there." The ringside physician spoke to Hall after the second round but let him finish. By the end of the fight, the dislodged bone had poked a hole through the skin. Hall (10-4) won by unanimous decision, admitting that he could feel the bone shifting in and out of his skin as the bout wore on. He limped out of the cage with his arm around a cornermans shoulder. His toe was pointed in a different direction. "It was a pretty nasty break," UFC president Dana White said by way of understatement. Hall was taken to hospital after the fight, tweeting pictures of medical staff at work put his toe back where it should be. He also tweeted an X-ray of the broken toe with the message: "If youre not going after your dreams, you just exist." He added the hashtag .toemuchtoohandle. Hall won rave reviews from White for his early performances on Season 17 of "The Ultimate Fighter." But he was beaten in the finale of the reality TV show and lost his first two fights in the UFC, leading White to question his mental toughness. "It was good to see him let his hand go tonight and fight through a broken toe," said White. "Hes back, I like it." The win was the second straight for Hall, following a first-round TKO of Chris (The Crippler) Leben. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

After facing their fair share of doubters following a poor midseason stretch, the Toronto Raptors have silenced those critics with another winning streak. Eddie Vanderdoes Jersey . Returning home to kick off a lengthy stay, the Raptors can clinch their season-best seventh consecutive win Monday night when they face the upstart Milwaukee Bucks. Watch all the action LIVE on TSN1, TSN4, TSN5 and listen to all the action on TSN 1050 beginning at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. Toronto (33-15) suffered eight losses in 11 games from Dec. 30-Jan. 21 following a stellar start to the season, but the Raptors have bounced back and extended their win streak to six with a 120-116 overtime win at Washington on Saturday. Confidence. No matter what, we still feel that were going to win the game, DeMar DeRozan told Torontos official website. Somebody makes a big shot, were still not going to be down. Weve got the utmost confidence were going to win every single game until that clock runs out. While Toronto has won six in a row two previous times this season - Nov. 14-26 and Dec. 12-21 - it hasnt had a streak of at least seven since winning a franchise-record nine consecutive games from March 22-April 09, 2002. DeRozan has led the way during the current surge, averaging 18.3 points, and he has scored at least 24 three times on the streak. Kyle Lowry, who carried the Raptors with seven of their 11 points in overtime against the Wizards, has also been a major contributor with 19.3 points and 7.4 assists while earning his first All-Star selection. Toronto ranks near the top of the NBA in scoring with 106.8 points per game, but will face a stiff challenge when it opens a five-game homestand against Milwaukee (25-22). The Bucks have one of the NBAs top defenses, holding opponents to an average of 97.0 points. The Bucks are also allowing opponents to shoot just 43.5 percent this season, a figure that bodes well against Toronto, which is 8-10 when shooting 44 percent or worse. Milwaukees most noticeable defensive performer of late has been John Henson. With Ersan Ilyasova (groin) and Zaza Pachulia (calf) both out due to injury, Henson has averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks over the last two games. Both Ilyasova and Pachulia are questionable for Monday. Henson had 14 points, eight boards and four blocks to help the Bucks beat Portland 95-88 on Saturday for their season high-tying third consecutive win. Leading scorer Brandon Knight had only 11 points, but six players were in double figures for Milwaukee. Thats how we have to play to win, said Henson. Coach Kidd always says we have no one guy who can carry the load, so it has to be a team-effort. Recent history is not on their side, however. Toronto has won the last six meetings, including two this season. The Raptors won 92-89 at Milwaukee on Jan. 19 before matching a franchise record for margin of victory in a 124-82 home victory Nov. 21. Toronto and Milwaukee stand as the leagues top two shooting teams over their last five games. Since Jan. 24, the Raptors own an NBA-best 50.5 field-goal percentage, just slightly better than the Bucks 49.9. David Amerson Jersey . The Packers, Lions and Bears were a combined 35-15 and as long as Jay Cutler can say healthy, all three could make the playoffs in 2012.(CCA) - Canadas Braden Calvert will be playing for the bronze medal after an extra-end loss to Switzerland in the Page 3-4 playoff on Tuesday at the World Junior Curling Championships in Switzerland. Calvert and his team of Kyle Kurz, Lucas Van Den Bosch, Brendan Wilson, alternate Matt Dunstone and coach Tom Clasper earned their spot in the playoffs by finishing in third place in the round robin with a 6-3 record. "Were a little disappointed right now," said Calvert immediately after the game. "We played a lot better in the second half after getting off to a sluggish start.  We didnt really make the other team make too difficult shots." Both teams stuck to defence, and after eight ends the score was tied 3-3. Switzerland scored two in the ninth, but Calvert was able to force the extra end with a perfect draw for two on his last shot of the 10th. In the extra end, Switzerland missed a couple of tick shots, allowing Canada to draw around and lie one. With his last, Calvert drew the front off the four-foot to lie two, and Schwaller elected to try the double take-out. Jihad Ward Jersey. . His shooter just hung on for the score of one and a ticket to the semifinal. "It was a really, really tough game," said Swiss skip Schwaller. "It was so close in the end, maybe just a few centimetres in it, just crazy. We played really defensively, that was the key to winning. Canadian curling always involves a lot of stones and guards - we wanted to play defensively and not play their game." Tuesday afternoon, Schwaller will play Norways Eirik Mjoeen, who lost to Scotlands Kyle Smith in the Page 1-2 playoff game. Smith goes directly to Wednesdays final, where he will try to defend his 2013 world junior championship title. Canada will face the loser of the semifinal between Norway and Switzerland in the bronze medal game on Wednesday at 7am et/4am pt, and Calvert says the Canadians will be ready. "I think well get rested and fired up to play the bronze medal game," he said. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Garett Bolles Jersey . -- Al Horford was stellar on the offensive end Tuesday night. His defence on DeMarcus Cousins made the difference, though. Horford had 27 points and 10 rebounds, Paul Millsap had 25 points and 11 rebounds, and the Hawks held off the Sacramento Kings for a 105-100 victory. Horford was largely responsible for Cousins mediocre game. The Kings centre was limited to 11 points and six rebounds. Cousins made his first three shots in the games opening minutes, but didnt score again until getting a three-point play at the 11:21 mark of the fourth quarter. He was then called for three quick fouls early in the fourth, and he went to the bench for good at the midway point of the period. "My teammates did a great job of disrupting him and were digging real well and keeping him off balance," Horford said. "Any given night he can be the best big man in the league. Mentally, I feel hes stronger this season." When asked about Horford, Cousins only reply was, "Next question." Horford received plenty of help from Millsap, a key off-season addition for the Hawks. The two combine to give the Hawks a strong inside presence. That was evident in the fourth quarter when Horford scored 10 points and Millsap had eight, combining for 18 of Atlantas 23 points. "Paul has a knack for scoring late (in the game)," Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer said. "I think both Paul and Al stepped up for us. They are working well off each other." The Hawks (2-2) led by 17 points going into the fourth quarter, but the Kings cut it to three with 32 seconds left. Isaiah Thomas had a chance to tie it with 3 second left but missed a 3-pointer and the Hawks beat the Kings for the 11th straight time, including six straight in Sacramento. Atlanta shared the ball effectively throughout and were getting open looks for much of the game until the final six minutes. The Hawks shot 48 per cent, made eight 3-pointers, and had only six turnovers going into the fourth quarter when they committed eight more in helping to fuel the Kings comeback. "The defence isnt where it should be obviously right now, and we continue to dig ourselves in big holes," Kings coach Mike Malone said. "Every time you do that you have to fight out of it and that takes a lot when youre 19 points down." Jeff Teague, who left the game in the first quarter with an ankle problem, returned in the second and played well, finishing with 18 points and 10 assists for Atlanta. Both Kyle Korver and Cartier Martin had nine apiece. Thomas had 18 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter for the Kings (1-3), who have dropped three straight. Marcus Thornton and Ben McLemore had 15 points and John Salmons added 13. Thomas has made a habit of coming off the bench this season and providing the energy that has the Kings in up-tempo mode on offence and hustling defensively. However, there was no helping the Kings in the second and third quarters when they were outscored 57-33. "We just cant keep doing this to ourselves like we are some great team," Thomas said. "It takes a toll on your whole team. We keep coming back, but its not going to happen every night." Using a suddenly energized defence in the fourth, the Kings scored 11 straight points, cutting the Hawks lead to 96-95 at the 2:45 mark on a fast-break layup by Thomas. When the lead had been reduced to three points at the 3:04 mark, Millsap brought the Hawks together for a little inspirational talk. "It was one of those moments when everything was unraveling," said Millsap, who played the previous seven seasons with Utah. "I told everyone, Lets finish this game. Thats my personality, to lead." Millsap was inspirational with his play as well. With the clock running down and Atlantas lead reduced to one point, he made an 8-footer and added a free throw for a 99-95 lead. After dominating the second quarter, the Hawks controlled the third. Getting numerous open looks against the Kings lacklustredefence, Atlanta went on a 19-6 run for a 75-56 lead at the 4:47 mark. Korver connected on his first 3-point attempt early in third quarter, extending his streak to 77 straight games, the fourth longest in NBA history and one less than third place Dennis Scott. Dana Barros holds the NBA record with 89. Teague scored 14 points and Millsap had 13 in the opening half. The Hawks trailed the entire half until the midway point of the second quarter. They ended up outscoring the Kings 29-13 in the second to take a 54-45 lead into halftime. McLemore had 12 first-half points for the Kings, who had 12 turnovers. The Kings are in the midst of a seven-game stretch in which they play six home games. Their only away game is Friday at Portland. The two teams play again Saturday night in Sacramento. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports the team has agreed to a five-year, $100 million deal with San Francisco Giants free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval. Sandoval, 28, is fresh off of a third World Series in five seasons with the Giants. The 2012 World Series MVP, the Venezuelan had another impressive postseason this past October in the Giants seven-game win over the Kansas City Royals, batting .429 in the Fall Classic. In three World Series, Sandoval has a .426 average. Thought not as impressive as his playoff numbers, Sandoval, a two-time All-Star, hit .279 with 16 homers and 73 RBI over 157 regular season games in 2014. He also possessed the fifth-best range factor of any NL third baseman per nine innings. There is some confusion over whether or nott the deal with the Red Sox is complete. Paxton Lynch Jersey. Giants vice-president Bobby Evans told KBNR in San Francisco on Monday morning that he had spoken to Sandovals agent, his brother Michael, and hes vehemently denying the [Red Sox] reports. FOX Sports Ken Rosenthal reports that the San Diego Padres, another suitor of Sandovals, indicate that they have yet to be told that they are out on the player. While it does not happen in every case, its common practice for a free agent to inform potential suitors that he has chosen to sign with another club. If the Red Sox do, in fact, capture Sandoval, he will be the second high-profile free agent headed to Boston. Reports on Monday also have Los Angeles Dodgers free agent shortstop Hanley Ramirez returning to the Red Sox, the team that drafted him, on a five-year, $90 million pact. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

WINNIPEG -- After a frantic first period Blake Wheeler might have been forgotten if not for what he did in the third. T.J. McDonald Jersey . Wheeler scored two goals, including the winner, as the Winnipeg Jets beat the Minnesota Wild 6-4 on Friday in a game that featured a seven-goal first period. Wheeler ended a scramble in front of the Minnesota net when he poked the puck under a prone Niklas Backstrom with 9:20 remaining in the third period for his 14th goal of the season, giving the Jets a 5-4 lead. It was the ninth goal in December for Wheeler, who started the season with just five goals in his first 28 games. "I think confidence plays into it," he said of his recent success. "When the puck starts going in the net you find yourself getting into the scoring areas a little bit more. The puck seems to bounce your way a little bit more." Evander Kane, Olli Jokinen, Dustin Byfuglien and Toby Enstrom added goals for Winnipeg. Dany Heatley, Justin Fontaine, Stephane Veilleux and Mikko Koivu were the goal scorers for Minnesota. The Jets (17-18-5), who were coming off a humbling loss in Edmonton on Monday, finally managed to beat the Wild after losing each of the first three meetings between the teams. It was a fourth straight loss for the Wild (20-14-5), who have now dropped six of their last eight games. Neither team seemed interested in playing defence after the three-day Christmas break. The Jets led 4-3 after a first period that saw seven goals scored in the first 7:04, and featured three lead changes. "We dont have the luxury of finding reasons for things not being OK," said Wild coach Mike Yeo, who said the first period was clearly a by-product of the extended break. "Were in a position where we have to make things right." Minnesota struck first when Heatley scored on a wide-open net after a pass from Jason Pominville 2:13 into the game. But the Jets grabbed the lead before the game was six minutes old thanks to a short-handed goal by Kane and a one-timer in the low slot by Jokinen. "When they scored we responded, which was good to see," Kane said. It only took another 67 seconds for the Wild to go ahead 3-2, on goals by Fontaine and Veilleux. That ended Ondrej Pavelecs outing. The Jets starting goalie smashed his stick en route to the dressing room after allowing three goals on six shots, giving way to backup Al Montoya. Jets coach Claude Noel said the quick hook had more to do with his teams sluggish play in its own zone than anything. "I think our team needed a jolt," he said. Jets captain Andrew Ladd echoed the coach, saying that the team felt sympathy for the lack of support they provided for their goalkeeper. "I thought Monty did a great job once he got in there," Ladd said. "The first three goals, there was nothing Pav couldve done about them, so it was more about trying to get some momentum for our group on the bench." After nearly eight scoreless minutes, the Jets once again claimed the lead on late-period goals from Wheeler and Byfuglien. Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom allowed four goals on 11 first-period shots, and finished with 32 saves on 37 total shots. The lone goal in the second period came on a Wild power play, as a perfect passing sequence ended with an easy goal for Koivu to tie the game at 4-4. That was the only blemish for Montoya, who stopped the other 22 shots he faced. Enstrom added an empty-net goal from 175 feet with four seconds remaining. The Wild won each of the three previous meetings by one goal, including a shootout victory on Nov. 23. Both clubs return to action on Sunday, with the Jets travelling to Denver while the Wild head home to face the New York Islanders. Notes: Zach Parise, dealing with a lower-body injury, missed a second straight game for the Wild. ... The Jets were without defencemen Zach Bogosian (flu) and Mark Stuart, who was a late scratch with a lower-body injury after taking the morning skate. ... The teams have one remaining meeting, in Winnipeg on April 7.William Hayes Jersey . The rookie is rewarding their faith with a stellar first season. MILWAUKEE -- Kevin Love had both feet soaking in a bucket of cold water and ice packs wrapped around his knees. Custom Tennessee Titans Jerseys . A knee to the thigh might have stung him the most, but his sixth straight double-double made up for the brief burst of pain. Love had 33 points and 15 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 19 points and 11 boards, and the Minnesota Timberwolves climbed back to .500 by routing the Milwaukee Bucks 117-95 on Saturday night. "Ill be good to go. Once they called a timeout and worked on it, it was fine," Love said. Good thing for Minnesota (15-15), which won its second straight game behind another stellar outing from Love. "He wakes up getting double-doubles," said teammate Kevin Martin, who had 20 points. Love hit four of Minnesotas 11 3-pointers and the Timberwolves pulled away with a 14-0 run to start the second half. Perimeter defence was once again a huge problem for the Bucks, who have allowed opponents to hit at least 10 3s in seven consecutive games. Khris Middleton scored 23 points on 10-of-20 shooting for the Bucks, who fell to an NBA-worst 6-24. Larry Sanders had nine points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes, his first start since missing seven weeks following right thumb surgery. "We were just kind of deflated. We didnt get our momentum back," Sanders said. "We got a little in the first half, lost it for a second, and just never got it back. Thats the story of the game." Minnesota had an easy time snapping a three-game losing streak away from home. Martin smiled after his shot from the wing bounced on the rim a couple of times before falling through the net for a 24-point lead with 4:32 left in the third quarter. The Timberwolves led by as many as 31 before the Bucks mounted a late charge. It was nerve-racking enough that coach Rick Adelman put Love back on the floor late to ensure the Bucks didnt complete an improbable comeback. If there was anything for Adelman to worry about from this blowout heading into a three-game stretch at home, it was the play of his bench late. "When they go in, no matter what the score is, they have to play like the game is on the line," he said. If only Milwaukee could have contained Minnesota from the perimeter. The Timberwolves, the leagues third-highest scoring team (106.1 points per game) shot 45 per cent from 3-point territory after hitting at a 33 per cent clip for the season. A nine-point halftime lead climbed to double digits following a 14-0 run to start the third quarter. Corey Brewer (12 points) got the fun started by freezing rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo on the perimeter and hitting an 18-footer. Martin hit a 3 from the wing to make it 73-55 with 9:33 left after getting a pass from Brewer. Martin was so open that Brewer raised both arms in the air in celebration as he backpedaled on defence before the ball floated through the net. Halfcourt defence and ball movement sparked the Timberwolves, while Bucks coach Larry Drew said his team got broken down off the dribble and beaten on back cuts. "We got caught a couple of times staring at the ball and they just back-cut us," Drew said. "Nothing we werent ready for, we just didnt get the job done." O.J. Mayos 3 with 7:26 left finally ended the slide, but the offensively challenged Bucks were still saddled with a 20-point deficit. Milwaukee came in 28th in the league in scoring at 92.6 points per game. Mayo finished with 19 points. The Bucks had 20 turnovers, leading to 25 points for Minnesota. NOTES: Bucks C John Henson had to celebrate his birthday on the bench with a left leg injury. Henson, who turned 23, said he thought he might have a high ankle sprain, though he is supposed to undergo more tests to determine exactly whats ailing him. It is unclear how long he might be out. ... F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, drafted by the Bucks in 2008, returned to Milwaukee for the first time since being traded in the off-season to Sacramento. The Kings traded him to Minnesota last month for F Derrick Williams. Tajae Sharpe Jersey . Although taking two of three from the Baltimore Orioles wasnt nearly as uplifting as winning the World Series, it still felt pretty darn good. Felix Doubront and four relievers combined kept Baltimores potent lineup in check, and David Ortiz had three of Bostons 12 hits off Wei-Yin Chen in a 4-3 victory Thursday night. Karl Klug Jersey . On a hot, sweaty day, the Hall of Famer looked cool and comfortable.Dressed in civvies and a hoodie to hide the damage, a sheepish looking Nigel Reo Coker emerged at training Thursday following his Sunday night stumble.  The injury was gruesome, enough to keep the midfielder out of this weekends clash with Houston.  The bruise to Reo-Cokers ego and reputation, however, might be more damaging.  The former Villa and West Ham recruit has not had a stellar start to 2014.  He dazzled once during the season opener beautifully setting up Pedro Moraless first MLS goal in the late stages, but that was a rare foray into the front third.  At Chivas, he coughed up the ball in a bad area at a bad time, and the 10 men Goats took full advantage.  In addition, against New England he had his pocket picked on a couple of occasions and was fortunate that neither led to a serious goal threat.  Being substituted in the 60th and 70th minutes of those last two games was an indictment on his fitness. Youd think with a child on the way and a real opportunity in Vancouver to be the catalyst and a leader in a young squad, that "Reo C" would have come to camp in top shape and perhaps give the Whitecaps something tto think about long term. Sylvester Williams Jersey.   At 29-years-old, hes still young, hes the box to box midfielder the Caps need, and he has some excellent supporting characters around him. But he didnt come to camp in shape, and in a simple one-on-one drill at the beginning of last week, he was badly exposed by a potential replacement in young Canadian Bryce Alderson.   For all his bluster, Reo Coker has been put in his place, by an inanimate object no less.  It might have been his manager sending the message, but now Carl Robinson has been let off the hook by having that decision made for him.  What happens from here will define Reo Cokers future in Vancouver.  He might view this injury/incident as the motivation needed to put his head down, get fit and let his game do the talking.  The alternative will look all too familiar to keen observers of the British Bulldogs career; a departure with questions asked and unanswered followed by a new beginning somewhere else.  I for one, hope its the former because its easy to like Nigel Reo Coker the person.  Its even easier to like Nigels game when its at its very best. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The Canadian mens team fell to South Africa 24-7, Kenya 24-12, and Spain 26-12 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. "To make those mistakes was disappointing and now we must pick ourselves up and turn up tomorrow," said head coach Geraint John. "We are better than that but we must deliver and I know we can." Canadas first game began after a minute of silence in memory of Nelson Mandela. After heading into the break down 17-0, Canada responded in the second half as Phil Mack ducked under a tackle and dove over close to the uprights. His kick pulled Canada back to within ten points, but South African replacement Kwagga Smith crossed to seal the win. Caanada found itself five minutes away from victory in its second match against Kenya, but two second-half scores from the Kenyan side sealed Canadas second loss of the day, making qualify for the Cup competition impossible. Mark Bavaro Jersey. In its third match, Spain bounced back from last weeks clash between the two sides, which Canada won 22-12, to take the victory. Spain came out of the blocks firing and opened the scoring inside a minute when Pablo Feijoo went over the line after finding a gap on the switch. Francisco Hernandez added the extra two points to leave Canada playing catch-up early on. The lead was cut a couple of minutes later when Hearns offload found Justin Douglas, who raced over for an unconverted score. Hearn added another score six minutes later to put Canada in front 12-7, but Spain replied with 19 unanswered points to seal the victory. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

PHILADELPHIA - Keith Allen, a Hall of Fame executive credited with building the Philadelphia Flyers into a hockey power during the 1970s, died Tuesday. Kurt Warner Jersey . He was 90. The Saskatoon native appeared as a player in just 28 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings from 1953-55. But it was when he traded in his skates for a suit that Allen made his mark. Allen joined the Flyers in 1966 and became the franchises first head coach during its debut season in 1967 when Philadelphia won the West Division title. He became general manager of the team in 1969 and held the job until 1983. During his tenure the Flyers won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1973-74 and 1974-75 and reached the Stanley Cup final four times. Allens success in turning the Flyers into the "Broad Street Bullies" was built by drafting and acquiring players such as Hall of Famer Bill Barber, Rick MacLeish, Bob Kelly, Bob Clement, Bernie Parent, Barry Ashbee, Reggie Leach, Terry Crisp and Andre Dupont. "Keith was responsible for the Flyers winning the Stanley Cup," said Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke in a statement. "He was in charge of the draft, in charge of the trades, in charge of getting Bernie back — all the things necessary for us to win the (Cup). He put the pieces in place and hired the coach. He, more than anybody was responsible for us winning the Cups." Allen was in charge when Philadelphia set a league record 35-game unbeaten streak en route to the Stanley Cup final during the 1979-80 season. Prior to his departure, he drafted players such as Brian Propp, Rick Tocchet and Ron Hextall who would lead the team to two more championship appearances in the 80s. He also gave the late Fred Shero the head coaching job with the Flyers in 1971, and hired Pat Quinn to his first NHL coaching job in 1978-79. Allen was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder in 1992. "Keith Allen always found a way to bring exceptional talent to Broad Street and weave it into the fabric of a team that would succeed and endure at the highest level, because in Philadelphia, for his Flyers and their fans, no other level was acceptable," said commissioner Gary Bettman in a statement. "The National Hockey League sends heartfelt condolences to Keiths family, to his friends and to the Flyers organization, which has lost one of its patriarchs." Josh Bynes Jersey . The Raptors had an early deadline Sunday, a dreaded afternoon game, and they left the bulk of their work until the last minute, as theyve done so many times before. Chad Williams Jersey . But San Diego had even more trouble against right-hander Tanner Roark, who pitched a three-hitter for the first complete game of his career as the Nationals shut out the Padres 4-0. The 27-year-old set down the first 16 batters before San Diego catcher Rene Rivera, an .ST. LOUIS -- Now it starts to get intense for Michael Sam and the rest of the St. Louis Rams rookies. The first openly gay player drafted in the NFL is enthusiastic about the challenge. Twice on Tuesday, he mentioned how enjoyable it was being back on the field and trading wisecracks with teammates. "Im so excited to be back with the guys," Sam said. "Footballs fun." Sam hopes there will be less attention about his sexual orientation, but added his focus has to be on making the team. He said hes in the best shape of his life, dropping 13 pounds in the month since the last OTA workout, weighing in at 257 pounds. "Feeling great," he said. "Its just where I want to be speed-wise, so I can run fast and make plays. I want to be as fast as I can." Sam declined to offer specifics about his 40-yard dash time, adding "Im not worried about the combine." He didnt have much to say about his experience at the ESPYS, where he received the Arthur Ashe Courage award. Sam got a hug from the Hall of Famer Jim Brown on his way to the stage, and teared up throughout his speech faltered at times. "You know, it was a great award and I had a great time in LA," Sam said. "But thats over and Im focusing on football now." Just as they did after the draft and during OTAs, teammates didnt seem to care that Sam was gay. Offensive lineman Demetrius Rhaney, taken the pick after the Rams created a stir by selecting Sam, had only compliments. "Hes a football player, hes not a bother," Rhaney said. "Hes laid-back, funny, jokes a lot. Pretty good." Quarterback Garrett Gilbert, drafted in the sixth round out of Southern Methodist, said there was plenty on his plate without worrying about Sam. Gilbert said this will be the seventh offence hes had to learn in eight seasons counting high school and college. Mike Iupati Jersey. "When Mike got drafted he became part of our team, and thats what he is," Gilbert said. "Were both here competing, our jobs arent guaranteed. "He as well as the other guys in our rookie class are members of this family." Coach Jeff Fisher will address the media for the first time on Friday after the first full-squad workout. Sam knows he must improve across the board to make the team. The Rams already had one of the best pass rushes in the NFL, with stars Robert Quinn and Chris Long at the ends, before taking Sam in the seventh round. Long was among those observing on Tuesday. "Its not college anymore," Sam said. "Thats childs play compared to this." A little more than two dozen newcomers participated indoors. Sam thought it felt much like another OTA, but noted no one had pads on yet. On Day 1 his biggest concern was mastering nuances of playing right end. He was the SEC co-defensive player of the year at Missouri rushing from the left side. "I thought I did pretty good," he said. "Not totally satisfied because I havent been on the right side in a few years." At times, Sam had to try and get past Greg Robinson, the No. 2 overall pick of the draft who played a little tackle on Tuesday. Robinson, wholl begin his NFL career at guard, left the first workout feeling pretty good. "It was definitely a positive feeling to have a jump start on camp," Robinson said. "I was kind of familiar with a lot of the plays that we went over today and it helped with the speed of the game. "It helped me play a little faster." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

RIO DE JANEIRO - Like other delayed venues for the beleaguered Rio 2016 Olympics, work on the golf course has fallen behind schedule. Arian Foster Jersey . But grass has been going down for several weeks at the course, which has created an upbeat mood as golf prepares to return to the Olympics after a 112-year absence. That changed Saturday when Rio organizers confirmed that a state prosecutor could halt work on the course unless the developer shows it is following environmental regulations and other requirements under Brazilian law. Rio 2016 spokesman Mario Andrada confirmed the inquiry on Saturday and said developers had been asked to provide documentation that would allow the work to continue. "The state prosecutor is asking for the papers to show the work is proceeding according to the law," Andrada told The Associated Press. "We believe all the rules are being followed." Any delay would be another blow to Rios troubled Olympics. The International Olympic Committee has dispatched a special troubleshooter to accelerate Rios work, and recently IOC vice-president John Coates called Rios preparations were the "worst" in memory. Construction on the privately developed course, located about 25 kilometres (15 miles) west of Rios famous Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, had been delayed by an on-going legal dispute over land ownership, protests by environmentalists centred on the loss of a wetland area, and teething problems for a sport new to Brazil. Plans call for the course to be public after the Olympics, although its being built in a luxury apartment development where units are selling for a minimum of $2.5 million with many priced much, much higher. In a recent interview with AP, American golf architect Gil Hanse said the course should be fully grassed by November, and could be playable midway through 2015. He said it would not be "tournament ready" until a few months before the games begin on Aug. 5, 2016. "I think we are as organized as we have ever been," he said. "Going forward we have to make sure we dont all of a sudden start to rush the finish work. Because ultimately the details of the finished surface are what players are going to see. You need to lavish lots of time and attention on the details of the finished surfaces." Hanse said a test event is likely before the Olympics, although Peter Dawson, head of the International Golf Federation, suggested it might be difficult. The course itself could be dwarfed by whats going up around it in Barra da Tijuca, the site for the Olympic Park and many games venues. Developers plan to build 160 luxury apartments in four 20-story towers overlooking the course. A key player in the project is Italy-born Pasquale Mauro, one of the largest landowners in the Barra area. The opulent marble and glass units — most from 266 square meters (2,850 square feet) to 648 square meters (6,975 square feet) — are selling for between $2.5 and $7 million with completion set for a year after the Olympics end. One building features a 1,308 square-meter (14,100 square feet) penthouse serviced by six elevators, two bedrooms for maids, and one master bedroom for the "governess." The development will have an Italian flavour — called Riserva Golf-Vista Mare Residenziale — and is billed in sales literature as "Rio de Janeiros most exclusive address." Among the amenities are squash and tennis courts, swimming pools in every building, a 50-meter outdoor pool, a golf simulator, ferry service across the lagoon to the sea, a dance studio, gym and a multi-purpose court for basketball or three-man soccer. "Besides the workout academy, there are five massage rooms and a martial arts room to help quell day-to-day tension," the sales literature says. A spokeswoman for the Rio city government, which is supervising the private-sector project, said the course would be public for 10 years after the Olympics. Its not clear how the course will be run after that. Hand-painted signs near the course suggest not everyone is happy. "Golf for Whom?" reads one. The course got other unwanted attention late last year when broad-snooted caimans that survive in a fetid lagoon nearby wandered on the course. The alligator-like creatures took refuge in ponds on the golf course, and are a common sight in the area where population growth has pushed them from a bordering mangrove swamp, which has been polluted with raw sewage from unplanned development in the area. "They seem to be happy to co-exist with us now," Hanse said of the wildlife. "The birds have been back in droves. Ive seen the alligators swimming around, but I actually havent run into them. Its our hope they find this an acceptable habitat." Will Fuller V Jersey . Will you ride a favourite such as Spain or Germany, or cast your lot with an underdog like Ivory Coast or Mexico? General manager David Poile called signing Ribeiro a great opportunity to add a talented, experienced and creative centre Tuesday when he introduced the veteran at a news conference. Ribeiros contract is worth $1.05 million after being bought out of the final three years of a $22 million contract by the Coyotes recently.Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Right when it appeared the Chicago Bulls were on the verge of a late charge, Hassan Whiteside swatted away any chances of a comeback. Whiteside recorded his first career triple-double in just 24 minutes, posting 14 points, 13 rebounds and a franchise-record 12 blocks as the Miami Heat defeated the Bulls 96-84 on Sunday afternoon. There werent any NBA teams calling the 7-footer a few months ago, but Whiteside kept at it. Three months ago I was at the downtown Y just chilling, working on my game, Whiteside said. Then the Heat came calling in late November and the rest is history. Taj Gibsons tip-in got the Bulls within 91-84 with 1:59 left and it looked like Aaron Brooks had a free lane to the basket a possession later, but Whiteside came out of nowhere to make the block. Dwyane Wade, who netted 12 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, then nailed a turnaround jumper from the left wing at the other end to put the game away. Chris Bosh tallied 20 points and seven rebounds, Luol Deng supplied 15 points and 10 boards and Mario Chalmers added 15 points and five assists for Miami, which has won five of its last eight games. It was Dengs first game back in Chicago since being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers last January. Braxton Miller Jersey. He signed with the Heat during the offseason. Pau Gasol had 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Derrick Rose provided 19 points and four assists for the Bulls, who had won their last two games coming in on the heels of a 2-6 stretch. Started off slow, it cost us a loss, Rose said. After a runner from Chicagos Kirk Hinrich tied the game at 20-20 late in the opening frame, a 10-0 Miami run that bled into the second helped it seize control. Whiteside put in a hook shot, Chalmers knocked down a 3-pointer and Deng split a pair of free throws to stake the Heat to a 26-20 advantage following a quarter of play. Whitesides dunk capped the burst and gave Miami a 30-20 margin early in the second. The Heat led 48-38 at the break and 74-62 after three quarters. Game Notes Alonzo Mourning held the previous Heat single-game blocks record with nine ... Miami had dropped seven of its last eight regular-season contests in Chicago ... Whiteside had missed the last two games with a sprained ankle ... Brooks finished with 17 points off the bench ... SAN FRANCISCO - Pablo Sandoval singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, lifting the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 victory over the rival Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night and into first place in the NL West. Shelby Harris Jersey . The struggling Sandoval came through after reliever J.P. Howell (1-1) intentionally walked Hunter Pence with two outs. Sandoval, who entered the game batting just .164, grounded into centre field to score Joaquin Arias from second. Jean Machi (3-0) pitched out of a bases-loaded jam earlier in the seventh for the win. Buster Posey broke an 0-for-13 skid with an RBI single in the third to give the Giants a 1-0 lead. Dee Gordons tying triple in the sixth accounted for the Dodgers lone run. Los Angeles at least dodged worse news. Shortstop Hanley Ramirez left in the seventh after getting hit by a pitch from Ryan Vogelsong on the top of his left hand. The team said X-rays on Ramirezs hand were negative. Sergio Romo pitched a perfect ninth for his fourth save, striking out Adrian Gonzalez and Matt Kemp to end the game. Vogelsong allowed the one run and four hits in six-plus innings to help the Giants win their third straight game. He struck out two and walked two to match Paul Maholm most of the way. Maholm gave up one run and five hits in six innings. He struck out two and walked three to rebound from a loss in his only other start this season on April 5, when he allowed five runs in 4 1-3 innings to the Giants. San Francisco improved to 4-1 against the Dodgers this season in a race that could remain tight through the summer. Both teams began the day with a 9-5 record. The starting pitchers kept the game moving at a far brisker pace than the nearly 5-hour contest Tuesday night that ended when Hector Sanchez singled home the winning run with two outs in the 12th inning to give the Giants the win. The biggest blemish came when Vogelsong hit the top of Ramirezs left hand to open the seventh. Ramirez slammed his helmet to the ground and hopped around in pain before being replaced by Justin Turner. After the Dodgers loaded the bases with one out, Machi fielded a hard comebacker from Juan Uribe to start a home-to-first double play. The biggest hold up came from baseballs new replay system after Vogelsong pick of Kemp at first base in the second inning. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly challenge the play, which umpires upheld after a 4:25 video review that drew light boos from some fans during the wait. NOTES: Dodgers ace and reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw, who is on the disabled list with a strained muscle in his back, threw breaking balls off flat ground. He is scheduled to throw off a mound Thursday. ... An MRI on Dodgers RHP Chad Billingsley showed no ligament damage in his elbow, Mattingly said. He was with the New York Jets in 2011 when the NFL locked out their players after they failed to agree on a new contract. Willy went undrafted but was given a look by four NFL teams before heading north. "If there was something to happen, Id make sure we were getting the guys together in Winnipeg . . . getting our work in, obviously not in the building but somewhere around Winnipeg," he said Wednesday as the Blue Bombers rookie camp got under way. Thats what quarterback Mark Sanchez did with the Jets during the four-month NFL lockout in 2011. "Whoevers in the area, well make sure we get all the leaders, a lot of guys that are in the area." Not that Willy, 27, is looking forward to running a makeshift camp as he prepares to take the field for the first time as a starting quarterback in the CFL, after spending two seasons as a backup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. "Being a first-time starter, I need all the reps I can get but also I understand it is a business and I back the players," he said. Things still remained very much up in the air Wednesday as the clock ticked down and talks resumed. The collective bargaining agreement between the league and the players ends Thursday at midnight ET, and a possible strike looms before the start of main camp Sunday. Willy said he was looking forward to throwing his first passes as a Blue Bomber on Investors Group Field as rookie camp got rolling Wednesday evening. "Quarterbacks, we dont get hit in practice, so Ive always loved practice." He had already spent a couple of days in the teams quarterback school with the Bombers other three pivots, Robert Marve, Brian Brohm and Max Hall, the only active quarterback from last season the team elected to keep on their roster. Brohm was signed last season but went straight to the injured list. Hall took over mid-season and finished as Winnipegs most consistent quarterback in 2013, starting nine of Winnipegs 12 final games. But the team still floundered and finished at 3-15 in thhe CFL cellar. Shaquil Barrett Jersey. Offensive co-ordinator Marcel Bellefeuille is also back after taking over last August when Gary Crowton was sacked, and he has been putting the teams quarterbacks though their paces. "We pretty much started with what coach Bellefeuille expects from us as a unit, as individuals. Just mentally doing the right things, watching a lot of film," said Willy. "You get towards the installation period where we put in different aspects of the offence." The one good thing that came out of last season was the ability to pick second in the CFL draft (behind expansion Ottawa, which traded its pick to Calgary), and the Bombers also announced Wednesday that they had signed their top 2014 pick, offensive lineman Matthias Goossen. The team is hoping Goossen might even be able to start this season, perhaps at centre. The six-foot-four, 294-pound lineman was a conference all-star the past two seasons at Simon Fraser and was also on the world team that defeated the U.S. for the first time ever at the 2012 IFAF International Bowl. After his first practice Wednesday, Goossen said it was exciting, tiring and also the first time the Vancouver-area native has lived away from home. Hes bunking in a University of Manitoba dorm. "You only have one first practice and it was a lot of fun, very fast and very physical," he said after lining up at centre, although he said he isnt necessarily counting on winning that spot. "Im just trying to do my best every day. Im going to try and get better and contribute to the team in any way possible." Coach Mike OShea was happy Goossen made it for the start of camp and sounded a lot more positive about his chances. "We drafted him at that spot for a reason because we like him a lot," said OShea. "Hes going to be just fine." The Bombers are hanging a lot on Willys shoulders as they prepare for their second season in a new $200-million-plus stadium that carries a hefty mortgage they must pay. But Willy isnt short on confidence. "Ive been around some good coaches and players. I just need to take everything Ive learned here and there, put it all together and go out there," he said. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
